Student Circulation (Conforms to M-DCPS Guidelines)

  • Uniform circulation privileges exist for all students in the Miami-Dade County Public schools regardless of age, economic level, learning exceptionalities, reading level, or other factors.
  • Students are permitted to check out four books at a time, for a period of two weeks.
  • Students are permitted to check out reference materials and periodicals overnight.
  • Students will be able to reserve and renew materials to use during vacation periods.
  • All students are encouraged to exchange books as often as they like.
  • Magazines carry a late fine of 10¢ per school day up to $2.00.  A student will not be charged for absences if he is absent the day the item is due and if he returns the item the day he returns.  Regular books carry a late fine of 10¢ per school day up to $2.00.
  • Overdue notices will be sent to the advisement class.

Staff Circulation

  • Teachers may check out as many books as they desire.
  • Teachers are to check out materials in person. (Students are not responsible for items checked out to teachers.)
  • Be sure to check the contents of A/V materials for completeness and damage before you check them out.  Teachers are responsible for any items checked out in their name.  Please do not lend these items to other staff members.
  • Staff members may use materials, except current magazines and reference books, as long as they need them.  Please return materials as soon as you finish with them.
  • Request for any materials/equipment needed for classroom use must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
